About Me

I was introduced to programming in an era where countless technologies seemed to be emerging every day. After my first Hello World, I set about learning and exploring as much as I could, from building small weather apps to side-scrolling video games.

In high school, I created and published a handful of iOS and Android apps for chemistry, history, and language classes. My work eventually led me to gain a paid contract position as a software engineer at a local ambulance company, where I created multi-platform applications to replace outdated paper systems.

Though confident I would major in computer science in college, I instead gained an affinity for biochemistry and molecular biology, which I pursued at UC Davis. There, I became exposed to many fields of study within biotechnology, developing broad interests that I still can't seem to narrow down.

These days, my interests are still far-reaching, but my goal as a software engineer remains the same: to provide solutions where they are badly needed, to learn and improve as much as I can, and to build something of lasting impact.
